Before you go

Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the outdoor areas, meaning the covered deck and the lawn. Only assistance animals may come inside the shed. Owners must pick up after their dog. Pets are not permitted on the vineyard tours.

Leads are required at all times because Bangor is a working farm with sheep on the property.

When: Mornings Daytime Open daily 10am to 5pm, kitchen closes 4pm. Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday.
Cost: Mid range Cellar door tastings, and a kitchen doing wood fired pizza and local produce, at menu prices.

About Bangor Vineyard Shed

Bangor is a cellar door and restaurant built inside a shed on a working farm on the Forestier Peninsula, roughly an hour's drive east of Hobart. Estate wine is poured alongside local produce, and the long covered deck looks out over Blackman Bay. Leashed dogs are welcome anywhere in the outdoor areas, and the venue keeps water bowls behind the bar for anyone who asks. Sheep graze right up to the building, so this is a place to keep the lead short and your dog close.
