The rules, in short
Before you go
Dogs are permitted in the outdoor section of The Cafe, where the largest table that can be seated with a dog is six people. Well behaved dogs are welcome throughout The Garden Bar and BBQ. Dogs are also welcome throughout The Potting Shed, and you should note the dog in your reservation. In every area dogs must be on a lead or harness and must stay on the floor, not on laps or chairs.
The venue requires a lead or harness at all times and specifically states dogs are not permitted on laps or chairs, so bring a mat if your dog prefers not to lie on paving.

About The Grounds of Alexandria
The Grounds is a converted industrial site in inner Sydney that runs as a coffee roastery, bakery, garden and several separate eating spaces. Each space handles dogs differently: outdoors at The Cafe with a limit of six people per table, anywhere in The Garden Bar and BBQ, and anywhere in The Potting Shed as long as you note it when booking. Wherever you land, dogs stay on a lead or harness and on the floor rather than on a chair or a lap. Weekends get extremely busy, so a midweek visit is far kinder to a dog that dislikes crowds.Which dogs it suits
